Everyone needs this right about now.
People are worried. There are real concerns, and there is also some panic. Discerning between the two requires a level head.
We are being careful but not fearful, taking this time to be reminded of how interconnected we all are.
Sure, some of our events may be cancelled, and those that aren’t may have fewer attendees than expected.
But we have plenty of work to do. Denise is working on new patterns and is expecting shipments of both Lopi and Jamieson & Smith soon. Chris continues to develop his understanding of the Project HandWork photos as people react and share their own stories. Turns out that those individual photos, when seen with others, tell a story of a human fabric.
As for you, our customers, we sure want to show you some things, see what you’ve been working on, continue our relationships with you, and encourage everyone to progress in their art. We also want you to be well.
We’d like to sell you some patterns, yarn, talks, and classes, too, and will tempt you in upcoming emails. But first things first.
The coming weeks and months may be difficult and challenging. Work on what makes you feel better. Take care of yourselves and others.
And Elizabeth Zimmermann’s words are worth repeating.
“Knit on with confidence and hope through all crises.”
– Denise and Chris
