New from Denise, the Barrey Hiking Vest uses the Norwegian Lice pattern and a diamond motif.
For a limited time, we are offering our subscribers a deal. Until January 8th 2020, the pattern comes free with purchase of yarn for the vest. We will include a Ravelry dowload code when we ship your yarn.
Of course, this is a pattern a lot of people will want to make their own by choosing their own colors. For those rebels, here is a link to where you can just buy the pattern and follow instructions there on yarn quantities.

The garment is worked in the round from the hem up, with steeks for the armholes and front. Stitches for a front band are picked up after steeking the center front. Shaping can be added by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches adjacent to the side seam.
Pattern comes with the yarn for our subscribers until January 8th.
Denise takes pattern writing seriously, and hopes her work is beautiful and a challenge, and that her instructions are accurate. More then one set of eyes is needed, and we have to acknowledge the help of Team LCK. Laurie and Kathy, our test knitters, discover problems before the process gets too far along. Sarah Peasley, our Tech Editor, double checks everything from math to grammar to consistency.
Jackie, our model, is a science teacher in Tulsa. We’ve known her since she was a teenager. For this photo shoot we met Jackie at her school, which has a beautiful campus. When we moved up to the building for some photos by the red door, students scattered to get out of the way of the photography. One girl, however, was brave enough to step outside and asked for a picture with her teacher.Jackie is an accomplished knitter in her own right, and for compensation for her time with this only asked for yarn to make the vest.
